Profesor Titular en el Área de Máquinas y Motores térmicos del Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica de la Universidad de Zaragoza desde abril 2019. Previamente ha ocupado las posiciones de ayudante (septiembre 2006 - febrero 2011), ayudante doctor (febrero 2011-septiembre 2014) y profesor contratado doctor interino (septiembre 2014 - abril 2019).
Su investigación se centra en el análisis exergético y termoeconómico de sistemas térmicos (entre otros, los basados en materiales termoeléctricos) y ejemplos de simbiosis industrial, así como en el desarrollo de la metodología del análisis de transferencia de exergía (exergy tranfer analysis).
Ha participado en diversos proyectos del 7º Programa Marco centrados en eficiencia energética en la industria: EDEFU, TOP-REF, HELM y EFEVE. Co-IP del proyecto TEGBIOSOL (plan nacional).
Ha sido investigador visitante en el Politecnico di Torino (Italia) y en la Silesian University of Technology (Gliwice, Polonia).
