Amalia R. Pérez-Nebra is a psychologist with a PhD in Social, Work, and Organisational Psychology. She is a lecturer at the University of Zaragoza, Spain. She is a member and was director of the Brazilian Society of WOP (SBPOT), is on the board of Division 1 (WOP) of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP) and a member of the Future of Work (FoWOP). She organised national and international academic events.
Published 72 articles (70 full articles in open access in different databases - JCR, Scopus, PsycINFO, Pepsic, Scielo, Latindex). The articles include Current in Psychology, Journal of Police and Criminal Psychology, Frontiers, PLoS One, Le Travail Humain and International Journal of Human Resource Management. She is the author or co-author of 17 book chapters in Europe and the Latin American context. She presented papers at national and international conferences and offered workshops. She received awards at different Brazilian conferences for papers presented (2010, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2022).
Her h-index is 19 and i10 is 38 (Google Scholar) and 7 in both Scopus and Web of Science. Her research has been cited more than 1000 times. She participated in 8 research projects funded by public entities through competitive processes in different countries (Brazil, Spain, Portugal), as well as several projects carried out as part of the research activity in the academic entities in which she has participated. Most research activity has been carried out in national and international collaborations.
She has been teaching for 20 years at various institutions, achieving the status of professor in 2017 in Brazil, accreditation as a professor in 2021 in France, accreditation as a doctoral assistant in 2021 in Spain, and in 2025 as "Titular.” She taught various courses (mainly in psychology at different levels and in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, but also in social communication, business administration, and tourism), earning the title of best teacher of the course, as chosen by students (4 years).
Another dimension is the development as a researcher (principal or team member) in projects that have in common the theme of applied and culturally situated psychology with a focus on the sustainability of well-being, seeking to transfer to society the results obtained not only in the form of publications but in meetings, lectures, videos, interviews and support to institutions. On the other hand, her publications are coherent with the projects she has been involved in throughout her career and her social commitment. The basis of applied psychology was used in propaganda (e.g., to avoid violence against women), economic psychology, and organisational behaviour in the service sector, particularly in health, education, transport, and public safety. On the other hand, his transfer work was recognised: he received a ‘seal of quality’ from the President of the Court of Justice for the dedication and consolidation of conciliation and mediation services for more than 2,000 over-indebted citizens. In addition, she received formal and public recognition from the Secretary of Education of the Federal District for the work conducted in diagnosing and supporting the implementation of psychoeducation in elementary schools in Brasília.
