My principal research lines are dendroecology and wood anatomy. In my doctoral thesis (defended "cum laude" and with mention "International Doctorate") I analysed the dendroecological and wood anatomical aspects of Pinus halepensis growth with the objective to know, main characteristics of its growth dynamics and related them climatic factors. Under future climate prediction, this information can be useful for forest conservation and management plans. The knowledge and technics I have learned with the Mediterranean pine species can be useful and transferred to the analysis of tree species in different climates and landscapes.

I have participated as co-author in the elaboration of 17 scientific publications and in 8 book chapters. Most of the publications were presented at national and international congresses. In recent years, I collaborated as well as a reviewer of scientific publications in the journals with SCI.

As part of continuous education I have participated in different courses and training sessions on statistics, wood anatomy, and dendrochronology, and as well as teaching assistant of dendrochronology and wood anatomy.
