The academic CV of professor Jiménez is related to the research group GENERÉS, funded by the Government of Aragón since 2003. In this research group he has participated in 18 competitive research projects, 5 of them as main researcher (IP).
During his career he has researched on several topics, all of them related to technology acceptation and diffusion. The result is 66 research papers, 27 of them in JCR journals (6 Q1), with an h-index of 10. Besides, he has presented 89 papers at research conferences (43 international).
First research line of professor Jiménez was related to the adoption and substitution of technological innovations, the result were some publications in top journals, such as Research Policy, International Journal of Operations&Production Management and Technovation (3).Then he developed a research line about adoption of e-commerce in business, which turned into several papers in Industrial Marketing Management, Technovation, International Journal of Information&Management, Information Systems&e- Business Management, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing and Online Information Review. Another research line was the acceptation of e-commerce from the point of view of the consumers, which produced some publications in Electronic Commerce Research, Journal of Business Research, Information Research, Interacting with Computers, Internet Research, Online Information Review and European Journal of Marketing. Lately, he has studied the interactive services and media in the co-creation processes and its influence on the customer engagement. This activity has allowed him to publish in Internet Research, Service Industries Journal and Journal of Services Theory and Practice. This last paper has obtained in 2017 the Highly Commended Paper Award for Excellence. And finally, in the last research Project of the Spanish Government where he was main researcher, he has developed another line related to optimal experiences in navigation, where it is analyzed how
social webs use different elements in order to reach flow and to increase the success of the web. This research line has allowed him to publish in Online Information Review, Electronic Commerce Research and Internet Research among others. This line is connected to the PhD dissertation of Carolina Herrando (member of the work plan), co-supervised by the IP, who is also her tutor in her pre-doctoral contract, financed by the Aragon Government. The IP has also supervised the Thesis of the other two members of the research team as well as Dr. Blasco, member of the work plan.
Professor Jiménez has also developed another research line that analyzes the use of ITC in education, where analyzes the influence of the discussant role on the student satisfaction, performance and on the climate in the class. The result is a paper in Studies in Higher Education.
The IP was director of the Telefónica Chair for 10 years. During that period he was in charge of the organization of different research conferences and seminars related to ITC. This Chair also allowed him to work together with researchers in telecommunications, amplifying the scope of his knowledge on ITC.
Finally, he has been appointed in different academic positions (vicedean; secretary and head of his department), apart from several commissions; and he has participated in a master program of the University of Zaragoza with a module on diffusion and acceptation of information technologies in retailing, since 1998.
